My name is Fritz Veltman and I’m the founder and only instructor of Cape Fear Surf Company. I’ve been lucky enough to spend every summer on Bald Head since I was born and I quickly fell in love with surfing here on the island when I was 9. For the past 4 summers I’ve been teaching surf lessons, and I’m excited to continue to do so this summer, this time with my own company. I graduated from a boarding school in California, and I'm currently a rising sophomore at UC Berkeley. Over the years of being in California, I’ve spent a lot of time surfing on the West Coast, and despite the waves being better there, Bald Head remains my favorite place to surf. I’m excited to share the opportunity to surf in this special place with all of you guys!
